Hospital’s Market Research Points to ‘Cumbersome’ Name

Serving a bi-lingual population presents unique problems. A Canadian hospital’s ‘redefining exercise’ examines internal/external perceptions, including the institution name. From the Department of Redundancy Department:

People were also asked about the appropriateness of the hospital’s full name, Hôpital régional de Sudbury Regional Hospital. The consultants said the current name, with the French and English together, is cumbersome. ”
